Everything you need to know about Ayur Alive, our services, and how we can support your health journey.
What services does Ayur Alive offer? | Ayur Alive offers three core services, designed to work together as a staged, personalised health journey — so you can start gently, build understanding, and receive support as you progress.
Together, these services follow a clear pathway — understand your body, restore your balance, and stay supported along the way. |
How much do Ayur Alive's services cost? | Our services are priced as follows:
All payments are processed securely through Stripe — a globally trusted, encrypted payment platform. |
What is the Ayur Alive app and what does it do? | The Ayur Alive app is a powerful mobile platform that delivers and supports your personalised Health Restore Program — so your plan, meal guidance, and daily wellness recommendations are always with you, wherever you are. Once your personalised program has been prepared by Manoj, it is delivered directly through the app — giving you structured, day-by-day support across your nutrition, lifestyle, daily routines, and wellness practices. The app also has the ability to sync with many popular wearable devices, helping you track your progress and stay connected to your health in real time. A few important things to understand about the app: The app is a powerful support and delivery tool — but it is not a substitute for personalised guidance from Manoj. Specifically:
Think of the app as your daily health companion — and Manoj as the qualified practitioner guiding the bigger picture. |
What are the different stages of the Health Restore Program? | The Health Restore Program is structured as a progressive journey — not a one-time plan. It begins with a 4-week introductory program and advances through structured stages from Beginner through to Advanced. Each stage builds on the previous one — deepening your understanding of your body, refining your nutrition and lifestyle practices, and supporting more sustainable, long-term results. You move through the stages entirely at your own pace, with the option to book a consultation with Manoj at any point for personalised guidance and support. |
What happens after I complete the 4-week introductory program? | The 4-week introductory program is your starting point — not your finish line. Once you've completed the introductory stage, you'll have the option to continue through the structured progression pathway — from Beginner through to Advanced — each stage building meaningfully on the progress you've already made. You can also book a consultation with Manoj at any stage to review your results, address specific concerns, and adjust your program as your health continues to evolve. There's no pressure to move quickly — you progress at whatever pace feels right for your body and your life. |
Is there a weight loss program at Ayur Alive? | Yes — weight loss is approached at Ayur Alive with the same thorough, personalised process we apply to all health concerns. We begin by reviewing the detailed health information you provide through your Free Health Assessment and Health Restore Program questionnaire. By understanding your individual body type, current imbalances, lifestyle factors, and health history, Manoj Agrawal (A.P., NRN) develops a fully customised plan designed to restore balance, strengthen digestion, and support sustainable weight management. This isn't generic advice. It's personalised guidance from a qualified practitioner trained in both Ayurvedic medicine and modern nutritional science — supported by formal accreditation from recognised Australian regulatory bodies. |
What is Ayurveda? | Ayurveda is one of the world's oldest systems of medicine, originating in India over 5,000 years ago. The word comes from the Sanskrit Ayur (life) and Veda (knowledge) — meaning "the knowledge of life." Where conventional medicine often focuses on treating symptoms, Ayurveda looks at the whole person — understanding your unique body type (Prakriti) and identifying how imbalances (Vikriti) develop over time. The goal is to address root causes and restore balance across body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda is recognised globally as a time-tested traditional system of medicine. The World Health Organization (WHO) acknowledges it as one of the world's leading traditional medical systems and supports its role in integrative and complementary healthcare when practised responsibly and within appropriate professional standards. |
How does Ayurveda work? | Ayurveda is based on the understanding that every person is unique — and that true health comes from balance, not a one-size-fits-all approach. It recognises three primary energies, known as Doshas — Vata (air and space), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (earth and water) — which govern all physical and psychological processes in the body. Everyone is born with a unique combination of these energies, which shapes digestion, metabolism, immunity, temperament, and stress response. When your Doshas are in balance, your body functions well, your mind feels clear, and your overall wellbeing is maintained. When lifestyle, diet, stress, environment, or seasonal changes disturb this balance, symptoms can gradually develop. Ayurveda sees these early imbalances as opportunities for gentle correction — before more significant health issues arise. All care is tailored to the individual, introduced gradually, and focused on long-term balance rather than quick fixes. |
What is modern nutrition? | Modern nutrition is an evidence-based approach to health that draws on current scientific research to understand how food, nutrients, lifestyle, and metabolism influence overall wellbeing. Rather than focusing only on calories or single nutrients, modern nutrition looks at overall dietary patterns, food quality, meal timing, and how the body processes and uses nutrients. The aim is to support optimal metabolic function, energy levels, digestion, and long-term health. It's also not one-size-fits-all — modern nutrition takes into account individual factors including age, lifestyle, activity levels, health history, environment, and in some cases, genetic predisposition. |
How does Ayur Alive combine Ayurveda with modern nutrition? | At Ayur Alive, we bring together the wisdom of Ayurveda with the clarity and structure of modern nutritional science — giving you an approach that is both deeply personalised and practically grounded. Ayurveda provides the holistic framework — understanding your unique body type, natural tendencies, digestion, and energy patterns. Modern nutrition complements this with evidence-based principles around food choices, nutrient intake, meal timing, and metabolic health. Together, they allow us to look beyond surface-level symptoms and explore the why behind how you feel. Recommendations are tailored to your individual constitution, your current lifestyle, and the realities of modern daily life — making them realistic, sustainable, and easy to follow. |
What medical conditions does Ayur Alive help with? | Ayur Alive provides Ayurvedic and modern nutritional support for a wide range of ongoing health concerns — particularly where lifestyle, diet, stress, digestion, or long-term imbalance may be contributing factors. Clients commonly seek support for:
Our approach looks at underlying patterns, daily routines, nutrition, stress load, and individual constitution — to help restore balance and improve overall quality of life. Care is personalised, gentle, and focused on long-term wellbeing rather than quick fixes. Where a condition requires medical diagnosis, investigation, or treatment, we will always recommend referral to a registered medical professional. |
How does Ayur Alive support sustainable weight loss? |
Ayur Alive takes a holistic and personalised approach to weight management — combining your unique Ayurvedic body type with evidence-based modern nutrition principles to support safe, sustainable results. Rather than following mainstream diet trends, we focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of imbalance. By improving digestion, metabolism, and overall physiological balance, healthy weight management becomes a natural and sustainable outcome — not a constant struggle. Key areas we assess include:
By addressing these factors together, we develop a customised plan that supports lasting metabolic health and realistic, steady progress.
|
Why do most weight loss programs fail? | Most weight loss programs focus on short-term results rather than long-term health. Fad diets, restrictive eating plans, and heavily marketed supplements are often promoted as "healthy" — yet they're rarely suited to an individual's unique body type or underlying health patterns. When the root cause of weight gain is ignored, these approaches commonly lead to:
Over time, repeated cycles of weight loss and regain can further weaken digestion and metabolic health, making sustainable results even harder to achieve. |
How long does it take to see results? | This is one of the most important questions we can answer honestly — because the truth matters more than a promise. Ayur Alive is not a quick-fix program. It is not designed to deliver rapid, dramatic results in days or weeks. Our approach is rooted in Ayurvedic philosophy — which recognises that the body restores balance gradually, and that lasting health is built through sustained commitment over time, not shortcuts. How quickly you experience results depends on a number of factors — including your current state of health, how long an imbalance has been present, and most importantly, your level of commitment to the full program. In our experience, some clients begin noticing meaningful shifts — in energy, digestion, sleep, or weight — within the first 3 months of consistent practice. For others, particularly those with deeper or longer-standing health concerns, the journey may take 6 months, a year, or longer. Every body is different, and every journey unfolds at its own pace. What we can say with confidence is this: results come to those who commit — not just to one part of the program, but to all of it. Following a few suggested meals or taking herbal supplements while largely maintaining the same habits that contributed to the imbalance in the first place will not produce the change you're looking for. Real, lasting results require genuine investment across nutrition, lifestyle, daily routines, and mindset — together. Ayur Alive will guide and support you every step of the way. But your commitment is the most important ingredient. Individual results will vary. Ayur Alive does not guarantee specific health outcomes. |
Is Ayurveda safe if I have an existing medical condition or am pregnant? | If you have an existing medical condition, are taking prescription medication, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor or qualified healthcare provider before starting any new health program — including Ayur Alive's services. Our regulatory scope screening (RSST) is specifically designed to identify health situations that may require medical collaboration before we proceed with any recommendations. Where this applies, Manoj will advise you accordingly and may recommend working alongside your GP or specialist throughout your journey. Ayur Alive does not provide services that are intended to diagnose, treat, or manage any medical condition. Our role is to provide complementary support within appropriate professional and ethical boundaries — always with your safety as the priority. |
What are the health risks with Ayur Alive's services? | Your safety and wellbeing are our highest priorities. Our approach is gentle, considered, and designed to work with your body — not force it. To minimise any risk, we take the following steps: Clear scope of practice — We work strictly within professional and ethical boundaries. Where your health needs require medical involvement beyond our scope, we collaborate with Australian registered medical practitioners or equivalent healthcare professionals. Medication and herb safety — Any herbal medicines or formulations we recommend are carefully selected with safety in mind. Wherever possible, we recommend products approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Where a TGA-listed option isn't available, we ensure the product meets equivalent international regulatory and quality standards. Individualised care — Every recommendation is tailored to your body type, health history, current medications, and lifestyle. Nothing is generic. Gradual, monitored progress — Changes are introduced progressively, giving your body time to adapt. Recommendations are adjusted as needed to ensure your comfort and balance throughout. |
What is the difference between alternative and conventional medicine? | Conventional medicine — also known as mainstream, Western, or allopathic medicine — is the standard medical care most of us are familiar with. It focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing disease using evidence-based approaches such as medications, surgery, and medical procedures. It is essential and highly effective for acute and emergency conditions — including infections, trauma, heart attacks, and other situations requiring urgent or specialised intervention. Complementary medicine — sometimes called alternative or integrative medicine — takes a broader, whole-person approach to health and wellbeing. It includes practices such as Ayurveda, Western and Chinese herbal medicine, yoga, therapeutic massage, chiropractic care, and other health modalities. At Ayur Alive, we firmly believe complementary medicine should work alongside conventional medical care — never as a replacement for it. An important note on professional titles in Australia: In Australia, the title "Medical Practitioner" or "Doctor" in a health context is legally reserved for individuals registered with the Medical Board of Australia through AHPRA. Practitioners of complementary or traditional medicine — including Ayurveda — are not recognised as Medical Doctors in Australia, even if they hold medical qualifications from countries where traditional medicine is recognised differently. Complementary medicine practitioners do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe pharmaceutical medications, or provide medical treatment. Those roles remain strictly with registered medical doctors. |
How does Ayur Alive work with mainstream medicine? | Ayur Alive works alongside conventional medical care — not instead of it. We see Ayurvedic and modern nutrition guidance as a complementary approach that can sit comfortably next to the care you're already receiving from your GP, specialist, or other healthcare professionals. Conventional medicine plays an essential role in diagnosis, emergency care, medical treatment, and monitoring — and we fully support that. Our focus is on gentle, natural, and holistic support — looking at lifestyle, nutrition, stress, and daily routines to help you feel more balanced, resilient, and supported alongside your existing care. Many of our clients come to Ayur Alive to complement their medical treatment — particularly when they're looking for long-term support to manage ongoing health concerns or simply improve their overall quality of life. |
